No point in turning around, there’s nothing there. Empty space, darkness. Pick up your bags, carry your gift, and take on the world. She seemed so ready. So prepared. So focused. I don’t know who she is or where she was going, but I know she was ready. Her grey hair let me know she’s not new to life. She had a youthful bounce in her step. Not so much physically, but she seemed to be so alive spiritually. You could tell. I want to be this way. I want to pick up what I’m supposed to do, my gift, my talents, the things I love. I want to carry them on my back and just go! I wonder how she looks back on her life, if she’s satisfied with what she’s done. She surely seemed it. How can I tell that in a 15 second street encounter? I don’t know how, I just know. I know if I asked her, if someone could find her, that she’d smile and say, “baby, just follow your dreams.” Her body language screamed that!
So I’m listening to her. I’m listening to lessons she taught me just by standing and being herself. No words had to be spoken. What is it that you want to do? Want to go after? Want to be? Want to contribute? Do it. So when your hair is seasoned by life like this beautiful woman, you’ll have no regrets when looking back. Maybe an “I should have done this sooner,” but nothing more. Whatever it is you want to do, do it. Go after it. I don’t know, I don’t know. I may just be rambling. I may not make sense. I don’t know but she inspires me. I promise. I hope you are. Be inspired to do something you love! Don’t be afraid. Just do it! Hope y’all have an amazing day.
